the fouts report august 7
Well. Thank god the summer is nearly over. These last few months, I have felt as if I am in some kind of holding pattern. At the end of August I start my new job as a graduate assistant and quit the job I had for the last seven years as an auto repair service writer. This is a big change. It’s not every day that someone leaves a job after seven years. That being said, I will probably not miss my old job. Nobody in their right mind would ever feel nostalgic about being a service writer. It is a thankless job and the fact that I am more or less completely incompetent when it comes to auto repair or knowledge of how cars work made this job more difficult for me than it might have been for other more mechanically minded people.
Anyway, I know some of you are getting ready to start new jobs yourselves. Good luck to you all and keep in touch with your adventures.
Matt.
